The Department of Science and Technology plays a major role in developing and coordinating the policy of higher education and lifelong learning in the field of science and technology. The department offers different courses at the undergraduate level and postgraduate levels. In Batchelor of Science (B. Sc) includes different subject groups like Information Technology, Chemistry, Zoology, Mathematics, Physics, Home Science, Clinical laboratory science, Microbiology, Botany and BCA (Batchelor of Computer application). In Postgraduate level M. Sc in Chemistry, Microbiology, Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics. The department’s main missions are to provide students with career guidance, to develop international training programmes and promote the transmission of technical and scientific culture and information. It is actively involved in student life on all its campus sites. The role of science and technology is most important in the current era. Indian Science has come to be regarded as one of the most powerful instruments of growth and development, especially in the emerging scenario and competitive economy. In the wake of the recent developments and the new demands that are being placed on the S&T system, it is necessary for us to embark on some major science projects which have relevance to national needs and which will also be relevant for tomorrow's technology.
